If the richest man in the world wanted to buy one breath, just one breath, do you think he could? Not possible. All the money in the world could not buy one breath. That’s how priceless it is.
And the breath: it comes into a human being, it does not see you are poor, it does not see you are rich. When the sun shines across the sky, does it see poor, rich, good, bad, right, wrong? Huh? Indian, African, Australian, American? Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, Atheist? Huh? No! It is the same for everyone. When the wind blows, is it cooler for the rich, hotter for the poor? It blows. When it rains, is it clean water for the rich, dirty water for the poor? It rains. When the bird sings, does it sing more in tune for the rich, less in tune for the poor? Does it carry any judgement? When the sun shines, does it carry any judgement?
You have to understand that. Caught up in your little problems, don’t forget that. That’s wisdom. “I am thirsty, I need water, let me have water, let me drink water, let me satisfy my thirst” — this is wisdom. This is wisdom. And people sit there and argue, “Why am I thirsty?” People sit there and argue. “Why am I poor, why am I rich, why do I have these problems, why am I not happy, why am I not this, why am I not that?” This is not wisdom, this is stupidity.
People say “I’m looking for answers.” No you’re not. “Can you help me?” I say to them, “You are not looking for answers, you want entertainment, mental entertainment. Because if you were looking for answers, then you would look inside and if you looked inside, you would find all the answers there are.”
